As a member of America's
Second Harvest, we are the recipient of product from national food
manufactures, i.e. Campbell's, Nabisco, Kellogg's, and Kraft.
Local vendors who provide donations include Tamarkin Company,
American Farms Produce, Herron Foods, Panera Bread, Giant Eagle Stores, and Bake
Mark
Penn Ohio. We also receive food from food drives conducted by
corporations, schools and local businesses.
Funding comes from the United
Way, grants, special
events, individuals and corporations, and the U.S. Department of
Agriculture.
Second Harvest Food Bank
depends heavily on volunteers and in-kind contributions. Last
year, volunteers accounted for 10,000 hours of service to the Food Bank
or the equivalent of 5 staff positions.
