"Kick-Off" For Month Long Food and Funds Drive
Youngstown, OH. (February 6, 2006) Mark your calendar for Second Harvest Food Bank’s 15th annual Harvest for Hunger Kickoff to
be held February 17, 2006 at 9a.m. at the Food Bank located at 2805 Salt Springs Road, Youngstown, OH.
Get the facts about hunger in our community. At the kickoff, community leaders, individuals and local companies will talk
about why they participate in Harvest for Hunger every year. Come learn how you can participate and help feed hungry families
in our community!
Harvest for Hunger takes place during the month of March in 19 counties of Northeast Ohio and has generated millions of dollars
and pounds of food to feed hungry families. March was chosen because donations of food and funds are typically down this time
of year.
Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley distributes more than 20,000 pounds of food everyday to 195 hunger relief
programs in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
