Mission
The Second Harvest Food Bank is the community's effort to relieve hunger through the acquisition and distribution of food, education and advocacy.

Today, approximately 28,000 people are fed each month through our member network of 200 agencies that include faith-based pantries, shelters and adult and child day care facilities.  In 2006, the Food Bank distributed 5 million pounds of food.  The food goes to working poor families, seniors, battered women and their children, homeless shelters and the critically ill.
